Chiesi Pharmaceuticals B.V. - The Netherlands
A General Manager was appointed in January 2007 in order to establish the new organization with a suitable critical mass aimed at launching the Chiesi respiratory pipeline. Foster®, just approved through a European Mutual Recognition Procedure, has a great potential for success in a global respiratory market of 278 million Euro, accounting for about 150 million Euro combination therapy for asthma and COPD. The new legal entity Chiesi Pharmaceuticals B.V. was put in place in February. All preparatory work to initiate activity and promotion in September is ongoing.
