Asche Chiesi GmbH - Germany
2006 was the year of new product launches for Asche Chiesi. Sanasthmax® suspension for nebulisation was launched in January and Vivace® (a combination of manidipine plus delapril) in April.

The highlight was, however, the launch of Foster® (a fixed combination of formoterol and beclometasone) in October. Asche Chiesi launched the product as the first country. In the fourth year following the establishment of the affiliate in Germany, this product has become the most important asset for the future and completes Asche Chiesi’s product portfolio with a real blockbuster.

The company has already produced excellent sales development with all of these new products: during 2006 the turnover almost reached 30 million Euro, despite the actual sales reduction due to the conclusion of a licensing contract and does not affect the local business.

For 2007 the aim will be to further promote Foster ®, and enhance Forair® (a long-acting bronchodilator) and Vivace®. Furthermore there are plans to launch Bramitob® for the treatment of cystic fibrosis patients.
In order to carry out all plans appropriately, Asche Chiesi has already implemented a special hospital field force for cystic fibrosis centres and will enlarge its GP sales force capacities in 2008.
