Social responsibility
The ethical dimension and company values, safeguarding and making the most of human resources, passion for scientific research, and a propensity for innovation and continuous improvement represent the cornerstones of the Chiesi Group.
These key elements are fully entrenched in the principles embodied in the Code of Ethical Behaviour of
Chiesi Farmaceutici Spa – shared with the local affiliates through the Group’s ethical code for some time
– drawn up, approved and applied as a result of a specific project which was begun five years ago.
The objective of this project was to regulate company behaviour through an ethical approach, in order to put together a clear and transparent document that, as far as Italy was concerned, would allow harmonisation on a voluntary basis in accordance with the Italian law D. Lgs. 231/2001.
Today, we are still continuing along the path chosen at that time to further encourage the company’s employees to reflect on the ethical implications of their own choices and the way they are conveyed. For this reason, Chiesi pursues socially responsible policies, whose realization involves the entire company: research and development, production, marketing, scientific information, as well as the staff functions, human resources, financial management, administration and information technology departments, from business development to legal and company affairs.
This approach has been promoted and encouraged by the ownership. Personal and professional correctness,
attention to people, the ability to work as a team, customer care, a sense of belonging, and the ability
to create value are the principles the Chiesi Group is looking at. |
