During 2008 Chiesi Brazil consolidated some important strategies already established during previous years. Exports to Pakistan, Egypt and Iran were increased as a result of the availability of spray formulations, with the aim of starting to export to Italy by 2009.

New procedures were implemented in sales and marketing contributing to a significant increase in the market share for important drugs such as Curosurf, Manivasc and the Clenil family. Although no new products were launched, the affiliate recorded growth in line with the National pharmaceutical market average, becoming the largest government supplier of drugs for inhalation in 2008.

In terms of integration into the Group, Chiesi Brazil has taken on the name Chiesi Farmacêutica Ltda since the start of 2009.
